Colégio Brasileiro de Genealogia
STUDY THE PAST, LIVE the present AND UNDERSTAND THE FUTURE.
The Genealogical Institute of Santa Catarina - INGESC is a civil, non-profit institution with headquarters and jurisdiction in the city of Florianópolis, State of Santa Catarina.
It aims to promote and encourage the study of genealogy, especially about Santa Catarina and its interaction with the History of this State and Brazil.
The INGESC believes that the genealogical studies are of major importance for the understanding of man and his roots, who lives in the middle of trying to weave the past with the present, to understand the contemporary man. Therefore, realizes the importance of genealogical studies to expand with contributions from related disciplines applied to the Genealogy, such as history, heraldry, anthropology, sociology, among others, and the vehicle as the Paleography, computer and Archivist.
Although at the time are scarce resources of that association, it has held two conferences: in Lages (2007) and Florianópolis (2009), with the support of associates and partners who are listed on the pages of Congress, in this site. There, you will find pictures of such events and soon we'll be releasing the DVD with the Annals of the respective Congress.
INGESC, needs your help to continue its projects! We are inaugurating the Library of Elisiário de Camargo Branco, the first Genealogical Library in Santa Catarina, with the collection donated during the 2nd Congress of the family patron of the Library.
Guarantee for future generations to preserve our history, life stories and stories of families.
